Why we built this
The average homeowner's policy is 60 pages long. The average policyholder spends less than 15 minutes reviewing it. That gap between what people think they own and what they actually own costs American consumers billions of dollars in denied or underpaid claims every year.
MyPolicyShield does not replace your insurance agent or your attorney. It gives you the literacy to have an informed conversation with both. It tells you where the holes are before you need to find out the hard way. And it does it in plain English, instantly, based on your actual policy document.
We built this because we believe that understanding what you are paying for is a basic consumer right, and the complexity of insurance language has made that right nearly impossible to exercise without professional help. AI changes that equation.

Your policy documents contain sensitive financial information. We encrypt everything with AES-256, automatically redact Social Security and card numbers before AI processing, and never sell or share your data with third parties.

MyPolicyShield was built by Tim – a regular guy, not an insurance executive and not a lawyer. Just someone who got tired of not understanding what his own policies actually covered, and figured plenty of other people felt exactly the same way.
